When they write publicly about Orlando, my friends who are Muslim and/or LGBTQ make themselves vulnerable in a way I can’t really understand as a white, cisgender, heterosexual man.

Imran Malik, chairman of the board at Noor Islamic Community Center, called for the prayer to begin the mosque's annual interfaith iftar, the meal that Muslims partake in to break each day's fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
